New Independent Comedy Film to be screened at Bellmore Movies and Showplace, 222 Pettit Avenue, Bellmore, NY 11710, on Saturday the 13th of August 2016, at 9pm.
The Last Straw, directed by Stolis Hadjicharalambous, depicts the struggle of a group of teenagers fed up with their dean’s reign of terror. This group of unlikely allies—including everyone from the geeks to the jocks to the hall monitors themselves—develop a plan to take him down with the best weapon of all: spitballs, of all shapes and sizes! This hilarious original comedy showcases up-and-coming talent while reflecting the absurdities of high school life in a zany and delightful way. The film’s running length is 94 minutes.
The film has been lauded with many film festival acceptances and has previously been screened as part of a charity initiative in New York. The film will now have its official big screen world premiere in Bellmore, at an event that will include appearances by all of the film’s creative and technical talent.
Admission to the event is FREE. The cinema is located adjacent to the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road station and is surrounded by ample free parking lots. There is no need to RSVP, but questions and inquiries by reviewers should be sent to Producer Henry Borriello at firstname.lastname@example.org or Press Representative Kelly I. Aliano at email@example.com
